Hi Jamie,
Sorry for the late reply, we have a virus that has been sweeping through the family and we just all can't seem to get rid of it. Hopefully, we are over the worst.
I hope that the post struck a chord, as I was the same as you and just didn't put a price on all of my efforts. It's not until you listen and take in the wise words of people like Steve that you take a step back and look at things in a different way. Then the realisation of the direction you should be heading and how to do it hits you.
Here's to your success!
Cheers
Dave
Hey Dave
I trully hope the virus thingy has passed on and you and all of your family members are well!
Thank you for reply here. I do certainly feel like a more clear direction is laid out in front of me, and its strange because I havnt all of a sudden seen the light and know what to do necessarilly. I still struggle in deciding what I need to do to with my current part time customers, to help push their sites up a little and in turn help their business phones ring a little more. Its more to do with being a part of a small forum that is fuelled by some one who genuinely has a real interest in what he and his own business does and how that can help members here.
The concept is a bit strange to me if im honest, because 99% of all other forums I have visited to date, havnt left me feeling very motivated.
This forum and the whole SL ideaology is quite interesting, and it has triggered some thing in me, helped by your comments actually, to take a look at what I have been merrilly doing and try and make a positive change to it.
I would love for my IM and SEO stuff to really pay its way in my life. It certainly doesnt right now!...( I can so see my wife giving me that look and saying I told you so!!! ) and with a little one on the way I need to make things work for myself. After all of this time trying, I owe it to myself to keep going, and I think SL may have come along at the right time for me.
After starting this thread I have ploughed my way through the posts here and ive stopped myself in my tracks and looked at what I do.
From this point in, ive decided after reading through this forum and speaking to some members, to start on a new track.
The first stage will be :
First up I like the idea of slowly using Backlinks Energizer to help index links. I have just purchased this having read Myra's post about it. Im working on it right now and look to it, to add mid to long term value to my business once established in indexing links.
Im also looking to invest in RSS Submit, and really looking to fire up my rss for every site I own, and really try and build a massive RSS Link Web surrounding my sites. This includes the rss pages for our own Backlinking accounts. This in itself would be more than I have ever done to date.
Ive already started building my own little mini web of web 2.0 sites and self hosted blogs. All built manually. Its a tester for me really and I want to see if I can maintain this as another means of aiming backlinks back to my sites but on my own terms.
I love the idea of the article exchange network although I have experienced a few problems trying to upload the script and I still havnt received an email to my support ticket of 9 days ago, BUT what i take away from the idea, is the potential! So im looking into that as well at the minute to help build my little Link Mountain ha!
I have also ditched all other link building programs I had shown an interest in or even signed up for EXCEPT LinxBoss which I still use and still recommend to people if you can afford it.
So right now, Im embarking on a little journey that is no doubt old news for most, but for me its a whole new direction that see's me looking at the future alittle more, building and establishing a link mountain that will help me down the road.
Will I end up making any money ( I hope so ha! ) will I be able to push my customers sites up a little ( again I hope so because that may mean more money double lol! ) ..what ever happens, my focus has changed a little,....yet my tendency to talk for britain has not ha!
Great to hear from you Dave...out of interest what influnce has SL had with you, has it changed how you do things?
Speak soon
Kind regards
Jamie - Self Confessed SLS Groupie!
